A try to Oki Naea right on full time has handed the Tupapa Maraerenga Panthers the 2021 Cook Islands Premier League title after a see-sawing affair at the National Stadium in Nikao.

With both teams locked up at 18-all, the centre charged over the Avatiu Nikao Eels defence near the posts in the final play of regular time to secure the win for the competition Minor Premiers.

In the other Finals played over the weekend, the Tupapa Panthers also claimed the Reserve Grade title after defeating the Arorangi Bears, whilst the Bears defeated the Ngatangiia Matavera Sea Eagles to win the Under 19s title.
