Ponsonby 12 lost to Manurewa 30

One time Brisbane Broncos and St George Illawarra NRLW star Ngatokotoru Arakua starred for Manurewa in their win over Ponsonby, while Amber Kani crossed for two tries for the south Auckland outfit. Ponsonby dominated the possession count early in the match, with no score through the first 20 minutes at Victoria Park.

Te Atatu 14 lost to Richmond 30
Shanice Monshau bagged three tries in Richmond’s victory over Te Atatu. The Roses led 14-4 at the break before going on to earn their first win of the year.

Pakuranga 4 lost to Pt Chevalier 58
Lavinia Tauhalaliku did much of the damage for Pt Chevalier in a big win against Pakuranga, crossing for four tries at Ti Rakau Park. The Pirates remain unbeaten through 2021.

Farrelly Photos Women’s Championship
Tuakau 22 lost to Marist 28

Liliena Vakalhi scored twice to help Marist pick up their first win of the year. The visitors led 14-4 at the break before going on with the job, helped along by strong showings from second-rower Glory Aiono and prop Christina Magele-Mariner.

Manurewa 30 defeated Howick 0
Kiwi Ferns legend Sarina Clark marked her return to the league field with a star showing for Manurewa’s Championship side as they got up over Howick at Victoria Park. Auckland Vulcans forward Alix Leaupepe also enjoyed a strong outing, scoring twice in her comeback from a layoff with a knee injury.

Taniwharau 52 defeated Otara 10
Taniwharau remain unbeaten after powering past Otara, with fullback Pourewa Ruri-Clarke crossing for two tries. The Waikato-based side led 42-0 at the break.

Manukau 38 defeated Glenora 18
Tajtiana Araia scored three times to help Manukau to a win over Glenora. Scores had been locked at 12-all at the break before the Magpies ran away with the game in the second spell.
