The Balimo Suliki have defeated the Mase Eagles in the inaugural Agisa Rugby League Nines held over the weekend at Daru Recreational Oval
Under the guidance of former PNG Kumuls, Sawi Kaeta and Sauna Babago, the Suliki were too strong for the Mase Eagles, with youngster Aita Giwawa collecting three tries in the victory.
Played on Daru Island in South Fly, the tournament featured 48 teams from across the Papua New Guinea’s South-Western Districts of North Fly, South Fly and Middle Fly.
Balimo is based in South Fly, near the Aramia River.
