Former PNG Hunters duo, Gairo Kapana and Rex Kaupa have been named in the Central Dabaris train-on squad for the 2021 Digicel Cup season.

Led by acting Head Coach, Gairo Pepena, and his debuties, Gari Morea and Oala Frank, the 50-man train-on squa kicked off their pre-season preparations at Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby this week.

Gairo Kapana played for the Hunters in 2019 and 2020 and previously represented Papua New Guinea in the World Sevens Rugby Union circuit in 2017 and 2018 and participated in the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

The Central Dabaris joined the Digicel Cup in 2019 and represent the Central Province in Papua New Guinea. The Central Province encompasses the southern coast of the country, but excludes the National Capital District.
