The Kaiviti Silktails are set to follow the lead of the Papua New Guinea Hunters and relocate to Australia full time in 2021 to get around international travel restrictions.

The club, which plays in the New South Wales Rugby League Ron Massey Cup, will relocate to Sydney for the foreseeable future to ensure the club is able to fulfil all their fixtures whilst international travel remains impacted by COVID-19.

The Ron Massey Cup is a semi-professional club competition run under the NSW Cup and has traditionally around the Sydney metropolitan area. In 2021, as part of the One State NSWRL Strategic Plan the competition is expected to expand to become more of a statewide competition.
