The Highway Cowboys will be looking to keep their title defence alive when they face competition minor premiers, the Itisora Broncos, in the Siouposa Rugby League Preliminary Finals at Lese Oalai village on Saturday.
The match will be a replay of last year’s Grand Final, in which the Cowboys emerged victorious.
In the other Siouposa Preliminary Final, the CK Pora Eels will face the Houvu Panthers. The Eels are the dark horses of the competition, sneaking into the top-eight play-offs with a late season run, and now just one match away from making the competition Final.
The Siouposa Grand Final Day will also feature the Men’s ‘B-Grade’ and Women’s Finals. In the B-Grade Final, the Highway Cowboys and Itisora Broncos will face off, whilst in the Women’s Final, the Iopoi Kangaroos will face Siroi Raiders.
