The Hela Wigmen have ended the Lae Tigers undefeated winning streak in the 2020 PNG National Rugby League Digicel Cup competition, defeating the current competition leaders 24 – 4 at Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby.
In what was the replay of last year’s Grand Final, the Wigmen were too strong for the Tigers as the bounced back from being down 4 – 0 to score 24 unanswered points and claim an important victory.
The win sees the Wigmen retain outright third in the Digicel Cup ladder, and now just sit two points behind the competition leaders.
