The Fiji National Rugby League (FNRL) has targeted July 18 as the date to kick off the 2020 Vodafone Cup season, after getting guidance from the Fiji Government that COVID-19 restrictions could be removed in the country in the next two months.

Fiji’s premier Club Competition, the 2020 Vodafone Cup draw will be adjusted to accomodate the later start with the Fiji National Rugby League hoping to still to run its other Senior competitions this year as well.

The Fiji Secondary Schools competition, which was put on hold due to COVID-19, is hoping to resume when schools restart on June 15, with the FSSRL looking at the first three weeks of term as an appropriate time.
