Defending Champions, the Ngatangiia-Matavera Sea Eagles, will enjoy the opening week off when the 2020 Raro Cars Cook Islands Premier League kick off this Saturday in Rarotonga.

The new look Premier competition features the top five clubs from across the Pacific nation with the Aitutaki Sharks and Takuvaine (TKV) Warriors set to take part in the lower grades.

Kicking off the new season, 2018 Champions and last year’s Runners-Up, the Tupapa Maraerenga Panthers, will host the Titikaveka Bulldogs at Victoria Park whilst the 2020 Nines Champions, the Arorangi Bears, will face the Avatiu Eels at Reamaru Park.

The Premier League will again feature a full home and away season before the Finals start on April 25. Grand Final is scheduled for the 1st May 2020.

In addition to the Premier League, the Cook Islands Rugby League will again run a Reserve League, Under 19s, 16s and 13s competitions.
