The Gauteng Conference of the South African Rugby League Northern Club competition will kick off this Saturday with a massive quadruple header at the Pretoria Rugby Club.

The larger of the two Conferences that make up South Africa’s Premier club competition, the Gauteng Conference features eight teams and encompass the regions of the Northern Bulls, Eastern Eagles and North West Warthogs.

Kicking off the four matches in Pretoria will be defending Gauteng Conference Premiers, the University of Pretoria Tuks Reds, who will face the Pretoria Bulls Seconds team at 2pm.

following the opener the Silverton Silverbacks will face the Tuine Grizzlies at 3:30 before the University of Pretoria Tuks Blue team face competition newcomers, the Brit Bulldogs.

The day ends when the Pretoria Bulls face the Elsburg Bears at 6:30pm to cap off a massive day of Rugby League action.

The South African Rugby League Northern Club competition features 14 teams, with the other six taking part in the Limpopo / Mpumalanga Conference.

The Limpopo / Mpumalanga Conference kicked off last month and features six clubs with the Witbank Tigers currently leading the Conference.
