The Vanuatu Rugby League has announced the country’s train-on squad for the upcoming Pacific Games in Apia, Samoa.

After fears that the nation would have to pull out of the Men’s Rugby League Nines medal event after Team Vanuatu was forced to cut the number of athletes they could take to the multi-sport competition, the Vanuatu Rugby League and Vanuatu Government have been working tirelessly to explore all possible options.

Whilst still not confirmed, the possibility of Vanuatu joining the likes of Samoa, Tonga, Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands at the tournament has increased significantly.

The Vanuatu Rugby League will continue to work with the Vanuatu Government, VASANOC and other stakeholders to try and find a positive outcome.
