The Solomon Islands Rugby League (SIRL) has named a 60-man extended train-on squad for the upcoming Emerging Nations World Championship in Sydney later this year.

The squad has been predominately selected from the Solomon Islands domestic competition, with only two players joining the squad from Australia.

Training for the squad kicks off on Tuesday at Panatina grounds in Honiara, with the Final squad to be selected in the coming months.

The Solomon Islands will face Hong Kong and Turkey in the group stages at the Emerging Nations World Championship, as the Pacific Island chases it’s first ever win in International Rugby League.
