The Lae Tigers have recorded a 28 – 12 win over the Port Moresby Vipers to move into the top four of the PNG Digicel Cup competition for the first time in 2018.

The defending Premiers have overcome a slow start to season 2018 to move into Finals contention after a recent winning streak. In other results over the weekend, the Waghi Tumbe held the competition leaders, the Enga Mioks, to an 18-all draw, whilst the Agmark Gurias bounced back from their draw the week before to record a 54 – 4 win over the Gulf Isous.
