The North Luzon Hunters are the have won the second annual Estepa Elefante Cup after defeating the Manila Storm 30 – 20 in the 2017 Grand Final on Saturday.
Taking place at the Nomads Ground in Manila, the North Luzon Hunters controlled the opening 70 minutes of the match, racing out to a 20 – 0 lead before the Storm rallied to level the scores before the Hunters scored two late tries to second the title.
In the curtain raisers to the Grand Final, the Cavite Tigers drew 20-all with the Batangas Eels.
The North Luzon Hunters will now represent the Philippines in the 2018 Hong Kong Rugby League Nines in May.
