The Island of Espiritu-Santo has been announced as hosts for the annual Vanuatu Rugby League representative clash between the Santo Boars and Port Vila Fire Ants.
Despite this being the sixth clash between the two representative sides, it will be only the second time the Santo Boars have held home ground advantage after the 2015 home clash was postponed and eventually moved to the Island of Efate due to transport issues.
The Representative Fixture will take place on September 23 and will be used as a selection trial for the upcoming Test Match between Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands in Honiara.
In the previous five clashes between the Boars and Fireants, the Port Vila based side won the first four, with last year’s match finishing in a 30-all draw.
