A record seven nations are set to take part in the third Wheelchair Rugby League World Cup which will kick off in the south of France this July.

Kicking off on July 20 in Carcassonne, the tournament will see defending champions, France, host the Australian, English, Welsh, Scottish, Italian and Spanish teams in the largest Wheelchair Rugby League event yet.

In the lead up to the main tournament, newcomers, Italy and Spain and Wheelchair Rugby League powerhouses, France and Australia will play a warm up game at Gymnase L’Olympie in Limoux.

2008 Wheelchair World Cup runners up, Australia, will take on Wales in the opening game of the tournament at Halle aux Sport.
