The Malta Knights have emerged victorious over the Philippines Tamaraws at yesterday’s international at New Era Stadium in Cabramatta.
Down 16 – 10 at half time, the Knights were the dominant team in the final quarter of the match, running out 44 – 26 winners.
The win saw Malta collect the double after their U17s side defeated the Philippines U17s 18 – 0 earlier that day.
In the other curtain raiser for the main international, the Mediterranean Middle-East Eagles defeated the Philippines Admirals 26 – 12.
The Admirals are the Philippines National Rugby League development team.
