Rugby League continues to make progress in Brazil in 2016, with the Brazil Rugby League successful in introducing the first of a series of development clinics at the Lutheran Church in the City of Baixo Guandu in Espirito Santo.

The clinic, which was run in conjunction with the Baixo Guandu Rugby League and the Municipal Department of Sports in the region saw a number of kids between ages 5 – 8 and 10 – 12 from the Léa Holz Primary School take part in the clinic.

The long term aims of the clinics are to setup a Schools championship in the region.

The region of Baixo Guandu is one of two regions currently running Rugby League competitions and clinics in Brazil
