Miramar, Argentina is set to host Rugby League’s first ever clash between two South American based Rugby League teams following the São Lourenço Rugby club’s announcement that their Under 19’s team will tour Argentina later this year.

São Lourenço, which is located in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais in the South-East of the country, is one of two regions in Brazil currently playing the game of Rugby League.

As part of the tour, the Under 19’s São Lourenço side will play a local representative team selected by the Confederacion Argentina de Rugby League in November.

The tour will be the first time a representative team from Argentina has played a match since the Australian Police side toured the country in 2005.

People wanting to help the São Lourenço side raise funds for the tour are encouraged to contribute on their Crowdfunding page. Find out more / Donate (For individuals with a Brazilian CPF number | Find out more / Donate (Everyone Else)
