The South African Rugby League (SARL) has this week announced that they will be hosting a Rugby League Tri-Series this October / November in Pretoria.
The Tri-Series will see the Rhinos, the national representative team of South Africa, host the visiting Niue and Lebanon Cedars representative sides.
The tournament will be the first time a Pacific Rugby League nation has visited South Africa, and will be only the second time the Lebanon national team has visited the country.
Fixtures for the tournament:
29th October 2016: South Africa v Niue
4th November 2016: Lebanon v Niue
11th November 2016: South Africa v Lebanon
The South African Rhinos took on both Niue and Lebanon in 2016. In the clash against Niue, the Rhinos went down 48 – 4, whilst the Cedars defeated the Rhinos 40 – 12 and 50 – 16 as part of the World Cup qualifiers.
